Practice Lifecycle¶
Why This Exists¶
This document defines the lifecycle states every Practice follows from design to advanced AI-enabled operation.
Owner¶
The owner is the Chief Product Officer and Enterprise Architect.
Business Value¶
The Practice lifecycle helps Algosure introduce Practices responsibly, validate their operating model, measure readiness, and improve toward AI-augmented and autonomous execution.
Lifecycle States¶
| State | Meaning | Exit criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Practice is being designed and documented. | Mission, responsibilities, capabilities, ownership, and domain relationships are defined. |
| Pilot | Practice is tested with limited workflows, customers, or internal use cases. | SOPs, KPIs, Digital Professionals, and governance are validated. |
| Operational | Practice is actively used in normal customer workflows. | Workflows are stable, measured, and governed. |
| Optimized | Practice improves performance through KPI review, SOP refinement, and operational feedback. | Continuous improvement is active and measurable. |
| AI-Augmented | Digital Professionals and Intelligence assist with reasoning, recommendations, summarization, and workflow support. | AI guardrails, explainability, and auditability are in place. |
| Autonomous | Practice can execute defined workflows with high autonomy under policy controls and human oversight where required. | Autonomy is governed, monitored, and reversible. |

Lifecycle Governance¶
Every lifecycle transition must consider:
- Practice mission clarity.
- Capability ownership.
- Domain ownership boundaries.
- SOP completeness.
- Digital Professional readiness.
- KPI and SLA coverage.
- Governance controls.
- Risk and audit requirements.
- Customer outcome evidence.
Lifecycle Responsibilities¶
| Role | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Practice owner | Maintains Practice content and capability accountability. |
| Executive Office | Coordinates lifecycle review and cross-Practice dependencies. |
| Digital Professionals | Execute work within the Practice maturity state and guardrails. |
| Domains | Provide source facts, rules, and event contracts. |
| Analytics | Measures lifecycle performance through KPIs and reports. |
Lifecycle Boundary¶
Lifecycle maturity does not transfer source fact ownership. A Practice may become AI-Augmented or Autonomous, but source facts still remain owned by domains.
