This document defines business rules for the Marketplace Domain.

Owner

The owner is the Chief Product Officer and Enterprise Architect.

Business Value

Rules protect listing quality, category control, discovery relevance, request workflow integrity, and ownership boundaries.

MKT-RULE-001 Ownership Marketplace owns listing, discovery, category, search, visibility, request, matching, and workflow state.
MKT-RULE-002 Supplier boundary Supplier owns supplier relationship, performance, ratings, reviews, response time, quote performance, and preferred supplier state.
MKT-RULE-003 Funding boundary Funding owns funding products, applications, and assessments.
MKT-RULE-004 Organization boundary Organization owns customer business profile.
MKT-RULE-005 Intelligence boundary Intelligence may recommend providers, but Marketplace owns displayed recommendation workflow records.
MKT-RULE-006 Contract boundary Contract may request marketplace support but does not own marketplace listings.
MKT-RULE-007 Categories Listings must use approved provider categories.
MKT-RULE-008 Visibility Listing visibility must be controlled by Marketplace state.
MKT-RULE-009 Verification display Verification display must reference source domain and not imply Marketplace ownership.
MKT-RULE-010 Requests Quote and support requests must preserve requester, provider, category, and status.
MKT-RULE-011 Matching Marketplace matches must include score or rationale.

Provider Type Rule

Marketplace participant type must be explicit for every listing so customers understand whether they are viewing a supplier, advisor, funding partner, insurer, equipment provider, fleet provider, professional services provider, or technology provider.
