Business Value

Business rules protect analytical trust by ensuring metrics are governed, traceable, and separate from operational source facts.

Rules

Rule ID Rule Rationale
ANLY-RULE-001 Analytics owns analytical views, KPI definitions, report definitions, metric snapshots, dashboards, insight records, and performance summaries. Maintains domain ownership.
ANLY-RULE-002 Source domains own source facts. Analytics must not mutate source facts. Preserves DDD boundaries.
ANLY-RULE-003 Every KPI must have a definition, formula, owner, version, and source lineage. Makes metrics governable.
ANLY-RULE-004 Metric snapshots must record reporting period, calculation time, formula version, and lineage. Supports audit and trend analysis.
ANLY-RULE-005 Dashboards must define audience and purpose. Prevents ambiguous reporting.
ANLY-RULE-006 Executive dashboards must separate facts, interpretation, and recommended attention. Supports responsible leadership decisions.
ANLY-RULE-007 Intelligence may explain insights and generate recommendations, but Analytics owns analytical records. Separates reasoning from reporting state.
ANLY-RULE-008 AI-assisted insight explanations must be labeled and auditable. Maintains trust.
ANLY-RULE-009 Reports must use approved KPI definitions or approved analytical views. Prevents metric drift.
ANLY-RULE-010 Win/loss analytics must reference Bid-owned outcome facts, not duplicate bid ownership. Maintains source boundary.
ANLY-RULE-011 Compliance trends must reference Compliance-owned readiness, verification, and expiry facts. Maintains source boundary.
ANLY-RULE-012 Revenue pipeline analytics must reconcile Opportunity, Bid, and Contract references without becoming owner of pipeline facts. Supports planning without ownership confusion.
ANLY-RULE-013 Insight records must cite supporting evidence. Prevents unsupported claims.
ANLY-RULE-014 CEO briefings must be reproducible from stored summaries, snapshots, and insight records. Supports audit and executive trust.
ANLY-RULE-015 Historical snapshots must not be recalculated in place when formulas change; new formula versions must be created. Preserves historical integrity.

Rule Enforcement

Rules are enforced through KPI approval, report publication, dashboard publication, snapshot generation, insight review, and briefing creation workflows.
