Intelligence Lifecycle

Why This Exists

This document defines the lifecycle of intelligence work.

Intelligence work must be observable from context loading through reasoning, confidence assessment, guardrail evaluation, approval, execution, memory, and audit.

Owner

The owner is the Chief Product Officer and Enterprise Architect.

Business Value

A clear lifecycle makes AI behavior governable and explainable.

Lifecycle States

State Meaning
Requested Intelligence work is requested by a user, event, workflow, or Digital Professional.
Context Loading Organization and domain context is loaded.
Context Ready Required context is available.
Reasoning AI reasoning is underway.
Confidence Assessed Output confidence has been scored.
Explanation Recorded Explainability record is available.
Approval Required Human approval is required by guardrail policy.
Approved Human approval has been granted.
Execution Requested Governed execution has been requested.
Completed Intelligence work is complete.
Blocked Policy or guardrail blocks the work.
Archived Session is closed and retained according to policy.

Lifecycle Rule

No execution request should bypass confidence assessment, explainability, guardrail evaluation, and audit logging.
